Compassion Partnership

"For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’ [...] 'I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’”
Matthew 25:35-40

Compassion International Partnership at Thrive Community Church

Thrive Community Church is dedicated to making a global impact, and our partnership with Compassion International is a cornerstone of this commitment. While we encourage every member to consider participating in a short-term mission trip to gain firsthand experience and understanding of diverse cultures and needs, we recognize that not everyone has the opportunity to travel abroad. This is where our collaboration with Compassion International becomes vital.

Child sponsorship through Compassion International offers a meaningful way for our congregation to engage in mission work, right from our own community. This partnership aligns with our call to love and serve others, extending our reach to children in need around the world. Through sponsoring a child, you become part of a life-changing journey, not just for the child, but for their family and community.

Compassion International’s child sponsorship program is more than just assistance; it's about raising a new generation of disciples, equipped and empowered to make a positive difference. By joining hands with Compassion International, each of us at Thrive has the opportunity to contribute to a global mission, nurturing hope and spreading love beyond our local community.

Together, let's embrace this powerful tool to transform lives and reflect the love of Jesus in tangible, impactful ways.
El Nazareno Church: A Beacon of Hope in Mompiche

Thrive Community Church is proud to highlight the remarkable achievements of our ongoing partnership with Compassion International. This collaboration has been a fruitful journey, leading to the sponsorship of approximately 300 children and the establishment of the El Nazareno Church in Mompiche, Musisne, Ecuador, under the dedicated guidance of Pastor Israel Borja Valarezo.

  • Community Needs: With average household incomes in Mompiche around $200/month, the need for support is significant. Our efforts in this region are more than just aid; they are about empowering a community and nurturing hope.
  • Church Establishment: We are thrilled to announce that our church plant was successfully completed in January 2021. Since its inception, El Nazareno Church has become a hub of spiritual growth and community support.
  • Church Activities:
    • Over 200 children are now attending the church regularly, finding a safe place for spiritual and personal growth.
    • The church has become a center for transformative experiences, with individuals embracing faith through baptism and children making their first-time declarations of faith in Christ.
