Want to serve in Thrive KIDS?

Team members are required to complete all 4 steps of the Growth Track including:

StepONE - This class will help guide you through the essential beliefs that every believer needs to become a fully devoted follower of Christ. Step 1 is held the first Sunday of every month. 

StepTWO—This class is a basic introduction to the ministry of Thrive Community Church and will help you understand church membership. Step 2 takes place on the second Sunday of each month. 

StepTHREE— We want to help you realize what makes you so unique. This class will help you discover your personality, gifts, and purpose in life, and see how God combines them for the best fit in ministry. Step 3 will take place the third Sunday of each month. 

StepFOUR— Attend an orientation or training session in the ministry area of your choice to learn more about how to be involved or to join the Dream Team. It will take place on the fourth Sunday of each month. 
 

Upon completion of Growth Track, here are a few requirements to be on the team:

    Make a commitment of serving at least two times per month.
    Complete a consent form for a background check if 18 years or older. If a minor, complete the minor   consent form for a background check. 
    Have signed a Confidentiality Agreement and a Thrive Leadership Honor Code. 
    All minors must have a signed Notice of Independence and Exit Strategy form. 
    Read the Thrive Kids Dream Team Handbook thoroughly and have completed training. 

 

Below is the 4 week training/shadowing program to implement you on the team:

Week 1
    Meet with service leader or trainer to get checked in 1 hour before service.
    Meet team in pre-service huddle 45 minutes before service.
    Train on (pages 11-14, 22) Dream Team Check-in/Check-out Procedures, Security, Check-out and Service Components, Weapons Policy.
    Share contact information with new leader. 
    Sign background check consent form.

Week 2
    Meet with service leader or trainer to get checked in 1 hour before service. New leader checks in with trainer watching.
    Meet with team in pre-service huddle 45 minutes before service.
    Train on (pages 7-10, 18) Important Guidelines and Wellness Policy

Week 3
    Meet with service leader or trainer to get checked in 1 hour before service. New leader checks in with trainer watching.
    Meet with team in pre-service huddle 45 minutes before service.
    Train on (pages 15-17) Job Responsibilities.

Week 4
    New leader checks in by themselves and meets with team for pre-service huddle 45 minutes before service.
    Train on (pages 19-21), Guidelines for Appropriate Affection and Emergencies

 

Thrive KIDS Honor Code

The character and behavior you will carry out while serving in Thrive Kids:

•    You have a responsibility to develop and exhibit mature Christian behavior.  This should be the basic premise of your desire to serve in a leadership position in Thrive KIDS.

•    You pledge to present a good appearance at all times; in both attire and behavior, you should strive to demonstrate Biblical standards in all situations.

•    Our conduct should never be an embarrassment to Christ, but should exemplify the best qualities of a mature believer and servant/leader.

•    Maintain a disciplined life of Bible reading, prayer, and fasting.  As disciples of Christ, we strive to refrain from gambling, indulging in much wine or other alcoholic beverages, dishonest gain, illegal drugs, pornography, sexual immorality, and all behaviors which might cause Christ to grieve and others to stumble.

•    Due to health concerns such as allergies, asthma, etc., when working with children of any age, we ask that you refrain from smoking prior to and/or during your serve.
